Broken Bread Rosaries

About Us

Broken Bread Rosaries gets its name from Luke 24- the road to Emmaus. My husband and I used this passage of Scripture as the Gospel at our Wedding mass. We have felt Christ’s presence in our lives in the companionship we have with each other. When we “break bread” with our family and friends, we know Christ is with us there, too. We are companions on the road, the road to find Christ in our lives and arrive in heaven, just as the companions on the Road to Emmaus.

So what does this have to do with rosaries? The rosary is a form of prayer that Mary gave to us to draw us closer to her Son, Jesus. Many times we pray the rosary to lift someone up in prayer or we pray the rosary with others-making us companions on the road.

Arlene is a stay-at-home mom of 4 and she loves doing anything creative. She started making rosaries to sell at the church craft bazaar in 2005 and enjoyed it so much that she continued and expanded. What started as a creative outlet has turned into a powerful tool for teaching the kids faith, charity, economics, budgeting, and business. She is grateful for all her customers and everyone that has encouraged and supported her, especially her husband, Kevin, and her immediate and extended family.

Isaac is an 8 year-old 3rd grader and his favorite subjects are math, lunch and recess. He likes making rosaries, playing on the computer, and doing anything outdoors.
